As I mention before, I have stopped using Vpost due to their expensive freight charges and unreasonable repacking charges. After I switched to Comgateway, I realized I have save at least 30% on freight charges. Plus Comgateway deliver my shipment 1 week faster than Vpost.

For those who still using Vpost, you definitely need the below 25% discount code. As for me, unless Vpost is giving me 50% discount code. I will never use back their service.

I guess I mention before I'm very into hair removal and after trying out No!No! hair removal (which is kinda disappointment), this is my next hair removal device. I didn't really search for this particular brand. Just happen that I was browsing the coupons at my favourite store - Amazon. I saw there is a 50% discount for Veet Infini'Silk Light-Based Ipl Hair Removal System For Home Use. For USD111, this device is a total steal for me! Although it doesn't ship to Singapore directly, I ship it via Comgateway and will only cost me SGD26. Total bill SGD172.52. As compare to any IPL hair removal home device, the price already convince me to get it NOW! But being a logical shopper (most of the times), I will browse for reviews. The reviews are not excellent, but good enough for me. Amazon gives it 3.5 / 5 stars.

After 3 weeks, I finally received the device. My bf was the first who tried it because he never done IPL before and was pretty excited about it. Furthermore he finds that it is too sissy for man to visit beauty parlor. So I'm his private beautician. I shave out his virgin armpits' hair. On the device which will set off a loud fan sound. Then I try on level 3 on him. He kinda shocked at the pain, so I reduce it to level 1. He still feel it uncomfortable but able to deal with it. After I'm done with both of his armpits, I apply aloe vera gel for the soothing effect. Next day, his armpits hair start growing back which is kinda fast. But I guess because he never done it before, so the IPL effect still has not kick in yet. On the following day until now, my bf keep complaining his armpit hairs is very pokey and itchy. I guess for his next treatment (next week), I will try level 2 on him.

Next is my turn to try it. Personally I have done IPL before, but stop for few months because I'm too lazy to go to beauty parlor. My hair growth isn't fast and amount of hair isn't much due to multiple times of IPL. But gradually as time goes by, I find that I have to shave more and more frequent. From once per month to once per week. I shave and try level 1 on my left armpit. Frankly there is no feeling at all. So I'm not sure why my bf is so uncomfortable. For my right armpit, I try level 2. Also no feelings at all. I try level 3 on my left arm, I do feel slight warm feeling when doing the IPL. But still no discomfort. Then I try level 4 on my right arm. The warm feeling is stronger and still at the acceptable range. However sometimes the IPL device takes a longer time to emit the next pulse, as compared to level 1 to 3. Last of all, level 5 (highest level) for both of my legs. I do feel the heat hitting me on my legs when the pulse is emit from the device. There is discomfort but not as painful as doing it at beauty parlor. So it is still acceptable for me but I will still prefer level 4. Another issue is most of the times the IPL takes much longer time to emit the next pulse. So my entire treatment will be lengthen because I have to wait for the IPL to "load". Personal favourite - level 3 for more sensitive places and level 4 for rest of the body.

Next day I check the areas that I have IPL. For my armpits, I can see slight hair growth. For my arms and legs, zero hair growth.

My bf & I will continue the treatment and will update whenever I remember =P

REVIEW: The Impatient Woman's Guide to Getting Pregnant

    Description
Trying to get pregnant is enough to make any woman impatient. The Impatient Woman’s Guide to Getting Pregnant is a complete guide to the medical, psychological, social, and sexual aspects of getting pregnant, told in a funny, compassionate way, like talking to a good friend who’s been through it all. And in fact, Dr. Jean Twenge has been through it all—the mother of three young children, she started researching fertility when trying to conceive for the first time. A renowned sociologist and professor at San Diego State University, Dr. Twenge brought her research background to the huge amount of information—sometimes contradictory, frequently alarmist, and often discouraging— that she encountered online, from family and friends, and in books, and decided to go into the latest studies to find out the real story.

The good news is: There is a lot less to worry about than you’ve been led to believe. Dr. Twenge gets to the heart of the emotional issues around getting pregnant, including how to prepare mentally and physically when thinking about conceiving; how to talk about it with family, friends, and your partner; and how to handle the great sadness of a miscarriage. Also covered is how to know when you’re ovulating, when to have sex, timing your pregnancy, maximizing your chances of getting pregnant, how to tilt the odds toward having a boy or a girl, and the best prenatal diet.

Trying to conceive often involves an enormous amount of emotion, from anxiety and disappointment to hope and joy. With comfort, humor, and straightforward advice, The Impatient Woman’s Guide to Getting Pregnant is the bedside companion to help you through it.

    Review
As you all may know, I have been TTC for 10months or so but still no good news. So when I saw this book, I decided to buy it. With all the different information floating around, it is good to have a summary book.

I took about 2 weeks to finish the book. (I read in office as my workload is getting lesser & lesser. About 30mins to an hr almost everyday) Generally I didn't learn much things from the book. But if you already TTC for 10 months like me, I do hope you already know the things in the book. If not, means you really need the book and remember to fold the important pages. However I do enjoy reading the books. The author has quirky sense of humor which makes the entire book very entertaining.

I do learn some fun facts like home sperm kit. I do not know such thing exist. So husbands or bfs who refused to go to the clinic can get their sperm tested. However the sperm kit only test for the sperm count and not the mobility. Another fun fact is I need to gain 7kg more so that I can be in the healthy range of BMI: 20. Which is impossible! I already gain 6kg since I got attached. (My bf fed me quite well). And if I gain another 7kg, I definitely look like a petite fat potato. No jokes. The book also included what to eat so that you can get baby boy or baby girl. Last of all, the book also include how you can answer the busybodies who keep asking "are you pregnant yet?"

Conclusion, I do enjoy reading the book because it is totally enjoyable. It is more like reading a journey of a woman who are TTC-ing or rather TTC-ed. And I definitely think all women who are TTC-ing will definitely enjoy the book.

REVIEW: no!no! Hair Removal in Black

I'm not really a pretty girly type of girl, who dolls up with professional makeup. And If I do, most probably because I need to attend to some wedding. But there are three things I'm extremely particular about - Aging, Whitening and Hair removal. So far I'm doing a good job on the first two and now I'm still trying to keep my body hairless.

I'm not really a hairy person. Even I don't shave or wax, the hair on my body is not very obvious because my hair belong to fine type. But I still trying to get rid of them. In the past, I went to parlor to get IPL but as time goes by, I'm getting lazier and lazier and start to miss my appointments. So when time goes by, hair start growing again.

One day my bf & I were watching 女人我最大, they were recommending no!no! Hair removal. So we decided to give it a try. For hair at hands & legs, I can remove it with no problem at all. But for facial and arm pit, it doesn't do a really good job. When you sliding the device across your skin, the heated wired will burn off your hair which causes to have some burnt smell. Neverthelss, if the hair is properly removed, your skin will be hairless for a month plus, which is very good. Anyway I'm selling it away because I just got another IPL home device from Amazon. Hopefully the device will works easier and more effectively.

no!no! Hair Removal in Black includes
    •1x no!no! hair removal device
    •1x narrow and wide tips
    •1x narrow and wide buffer
    •CD instructions and manual
    •Cleansing brush
    •Power Adaptor

    Halloween Nail Art

Just back from my Khao Lak + Bangkok trip. As usual, I will go to my favourite manicure shop @ Siam Square to do my nails. Manicure + nail art only cost baht600 (arnd SGD24). Super dirt cheap! If you want to do in Singapore, the price would be 3times as much!

After 15mins of flipping the nail art album, my bf decided to choose Monster Inc nail art for me. Pretty cute for me and pretty cool for the Halloween <3
